Well over half of the world's coffee supply is grown in Latin America. For centuries, coffee has been an important economic driver and for many a way of life. Growing up in the U.S. one will surely think of Latin America as the primary place coffee is grown with images of Juan Valdez flashing before their eyes. Unfortunately, there is likely an association to cheap commodity coffee as well.
In recent years, coffee production has reached an unprecedented level in terms of quality all across Latin America! Some of the most dynamic and interesting coffees are coming from regions that weren't previously considered for Specialty Coffee.
